Choose a 2026 opera at Verona’s ancient Arena, including Aida, Carmen, La Traviata, Nabucco, Turandot, or La Bohème. Collect your ticket at gate 7 on show day, then take your seat for an evening performance beginning at 9:15 PM in June and July, or 9:00 PM in August and September. Add a one-hour English or German walking tour of Verona.

Spend 90 minutes at Verona’s Palazzo dei Mutilati, five minutes from the Arena, for a 60-minute concert by a tenor, mezzo-soprano, and pianist. Hear arias and duets by Verdi, Donizetti, Bizet, and Mascagni, sip prosecco on arrival, and meet the performers afterward. The intimate Art Deco room makes this a friendly first opera experience.

Spend 90 minutes in Verona listening to I Virtuosi Italiani, an ensemble founded in 1989 and known for Baroque and Classical performances on original instruments. Famous soloists and conductors may join the orchestra, and the venue changes with the option booked. Expect a polished concert, though some performances may include more Italian commentary than music.
“oh i expected the orchestra but it turned out like a comedy. More talk, less music. They spoke Italian during the performance. I saw other audience laugh a lot so i guess they enjoyed it. It’s just the show may not a good fit if you dont speak Italian.”
Spend an evening in Verona with a one-hour English guided walk through Piazza Bra, Via Mazzini, Piazza delle Erbe, and Juliet’s House, then attend an opera in the ancient Arena di Verona. Category 6 seats are on the upper stone tiers, so bring a cushion and expect a late finish.
“Great tour of the highlights of Verona, finishing off with an amazing experience at the opera! It was surreal to be in this ancient arena! Only reason I gave 4 stars, though, was that it wasn’t communicated that we couldn’t bring our water bottles in as well as long lens cameras into the arena. We had to find lockers in a sketchy alley down the road to lock up our water bottles and camera.”
